Further Disruptive Roadworks Ahead

As Asher Lane residents prepare themselves for a week’s total road closure, it seems motorists and property owners along Loughborough Road will have to put up with delays and disruption for even longer after ‘delays in the schedule’ resulted in yet another revised end-date being issued for completing major roadworks there.

The highway reconstruction at the Mere Way Roundabout to create a suitable access for the new William Davis Homes development on former Green Belt farmland began in September 2020. It was originally scheduled for completion on March 26th 2021 but will not now be finished until at least Friday 25th June* – three months behind schedule.

Meantime Bloor Homes has revealed a full closure of Wilford Road – adjacent to its construction site – will be required for a whole week in August.**

These are just three of several sets of disruptive highway works taking place in Ruddington at the moment or in the next few months. The full list scheduled (so far) is below:-

Residents and visitors are warned of potential delays for drivers and passengers using Kinchbus 9, CT4N Services 22 & 23Nottingham City Transport Navy 3, and Green 10C/10X Rushcliffe Country Park/Ruddingtion Fields buses, and the NottsBus Connect Service 863 during the above work.
